I realize it's been near seven months since I last updated my blog here. Summer came quickly, always does. It left just as fast and then is when I get free time to do what I love most, take photographs. It didn't take long though for everything to change. September was here with the prospect of a quiet fall and winter. Boy, was I wrong. Hurricane Ike came full speed ahead and hit my town dead on. The Bolivar Peninsula is where I have called home now for over 15 years. No one ever thought we would never be back. It took our home, my place of work and everything else. Life as I once knew it was gone. Since then I have bounced around Texas, first with the initial evacuation, which took me all across south east Texas until finally, somehow, ending up in Austin. From there we have moved closer to home. My boyfriend and I have landed in Friendswood and hope to stay here for a good while. Things are slowly getting better and with any luck everything will all work out. I have plenty of free time on my hands now and have lots of ideas for a face-lift to the site and some projects. This is just a small update to let you know I am still alive and will have much more to say and update as the weeks come.
