Interesting alternative to matting and framing photographs and some info about Open Source.
Plywerk A friend of mine recently told me about this really cool site, plywerk.com, where they can mount your photographs on wooden panels. Very innovative alternative to your basic matte and framed photograph. Their site states you can get your plywerk back within 7 days of uploading your image, pretty sweet. I've been looking for alternate ways to display and sell my art and I'm very intrigued to see the end result of a plywerked photo. Hopefully in the coming months I can get a few photo's sent off and will let you all know the outcome. If results are good, quite possibly I'll start selling them online, since a shoppe has been slowly in the works. All in good time my friends. Open Source As many of you know I am a free software/open source advocate. I hope to be working with a new Linux software site on writing reviews on photography software in the very near future. More of that to come. If you're not familiar with Free Software, Open Source, or Linux then check out any of the following links and websites, enlighten yourself and join the open source community!
